What we have built to, where we fall short, and how to ask for an accommodation.
We want this site, and the clinic itself, to work for everyone who needs them.
The standard we build to
This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
- Every text and background pairing has been measured for contrast. Body text sits at or above 4.5 to 1.
- Colour is never the only cue. Links carry an underline as well as a colour.
- The site can be operated by keyboard throughout, with a visible focus indicator.
- Headings are real headings, in order, so screen readers can navigate by structure.
- Images carry alternative text describing what they show.
- Text reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 320 pixel viewport and survives 200 percent zoom.
- Motion is minimal and respects the reduced-motion setting on your device.
Where we fall short
Booking happens on Jane, a third-party platform we do not control and cannot modify. If online booking is difficult for you, call the clinic and we will book the appointment for you.
Getting to the clinic
We are on the second floor of Improve Canada Centre at 7250 Keele St. The building has elevators and accessible parking, and parking is free. If you would like someone to meet you at the entrance, or you need any other accommodation for your visit, call ahead and we will arrange it.
Accessible formats. On request we will provide information from this site in an accessible format at no additional cost. Call us and tell us what format works for you.
